Been coming here since 2011 and now I live seven hours away but I think about this food at least once a week. It’s a must have detour anytime I’m in the twin cities. The best torta I’ve ever had.
The word on the street is that this restaurant has some of the best Mexican food in the state. The menu definitely points that out with weekend options of barbacoa de chivo (mini 🐐), pozole, and menudo. I had the barbacoa de res and it was rich with very tender beef cooked for hours in a family recipe broth. Tortillas come from a local Minneapolis tortilleria and are good. Rice and beans have amazing flavor. Lots of effort and passion put into them. Salsa has fire so use caution. Authentic Mexican food here. Great service. Has Jarritos soda.
Amazing food. Family owned and operated. They reminded me of my own family. They even have authentic snacks imported from Mexico. I wish I was down there more often.
This is authentic Mexican food. Tamales was spicy and delicious.
This restaurant serves mouth watering Mexican style dishes. I reccomend the chicken quesadilla or the steak. The avocado salsa served with the meal is very spicy and delicious. Tamales are perfection. Family owned and operated. Quick service and perfect to go.

Very frustrating. While you don't expect any service here, but at least a respectful interaction. The ordering process is always very frustrating, because they hang up on you immediately after you place the order without telling you what is the estimated time. I called back and they said they will call me back when the food is ready. I waited for an hour and called back again. I was told to wait 15mins. I waited another 15mins and went to pick up my order. Order was not ready. Another 15mins. They lack the basic respect for customers.
You want authentic Mexican food? There is no better place! Some of the best Mexican food and their spicy green chili sauce is amazing! We accidentally walked in after closing yet they still made up some food for us! Not much of table space for dining in, and your food is served in takeout containers, so plan on eating somewhere else
